Abstract: Wireless IoT networks play a key role in smart cities by enabling efficient urban management, energy optimization, and transportation systems. However, these networks are highly vulnerable to cyber threats such as jamming and data breaches, making security assessment essential. This study focuses on graph-based approaches for evaluating the security of wireless IoT networks. An attack graph model is used to represent possible intrusion paths that an attacker may follow within the network. By analyzing these paths, it becomes possible to assess vulnerabilities and predict attacker behavior. The proposed methodology includes the development of a risk assessment framework, an algorithm for identifying attacker paths, and the application of a Markov model to predict network state evolution. The results demonstrate that graph-based modeling provides deeper insight into potential threats and supports the development of more effective defense strategies for wireless IoT environments.
