Abstract:Abstract. This article analyzes current research in the field of mobility man-agement in ultra-dense networks. It examines key challenges and promising approach-es to ensuring stable connectivity in high-density device environments with small cell sizes. The transition to 5G/6G networks, the implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT), the development of drone-based networks, and the use of millimeter waves im-pose new requirements for handover management and network resource adaptation. Particular attention is given to the impact of new communication standards on ICT infrastructure architecture, including the integration of wireless networks with cloud computing, quantum communications, and artificial intelligence. Both traditional mobility management algorithms and adaptive mechanisms based on machine learn-ing, self-optimization, and intelligent systems are considered. The article provides an overview of modern methods for ensuring connection continuity in high-mobility networks, analyzing their efficiency and limitations. Additionally, it discusses future directions for ICT infrastructure development aimed at improving data transmission reliability and reducing latency in next-generation ultra-dense networks.
